Heavy Steel-cased Batteries can be a great scrap item to recycle and are typically used in forklifts. If they are not clearly marked as PB (lead-acid) you can run the model number to see what type they are.

DEEP-CYCLE / GOLF CART BATTERIES
Deep-cycle lead-acid batteries generally fall into two distinct categories; flooded (FLA) and valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA). Very close in value to standard auto/atv batteries, but usually slightly less, they're often used in golf carts, pv solar battery banks and boats.

Absolyte batteries are used in the cell phone industry and for many backup data centers. These batteries contain acid, lead, copper, steel outside cases, and are generally always in multiple rows. They must be fully discharged of power before transporting or selling them.
